Since 2017, Jiafeng has developed his own approach to browser-based live performance, which he calls Web DJ. Instead of using conventional DJ software, he performs entirely inside a web browser, moving between YouTube videos, field recordings, online generators, live streams, acapellas, and music from different genres and regions.
The set is assembled in real time across multiple tabs. Tracks are not always beat-matched; Jiafeng controls the pacing by opening, layering, interrupting, and switching between different sources. The browser window is projected for the audience, so navigating the internet, searching, buffering, and unexpected moments all become visible parts of the performance.

Jiafeng 高嘉丰 is a Shanghai-based singer, producer, digital artist, and developer working across experimental pop, club music, sound art, and music technology.
His practice moves between songs, live performance, browser-based instruments, AI music systems, Web-DJ performance formats, and institution-facing sound work. Projects have been presented at art spaces and festivals including the Power Station of Art, Tank Shanghai, Shenzhen Theatre Biennale, and EMS Stockholm. His NTS Radio appearances include a live Web-DJ set from Shanghai and a guest slot on Bloodz Boi's show. His work has also appeared in AVYSS, Dazed, Mixmag, and Rate Your Music.
A recipient of the Margaret Guthman Musical Instrument Competition award, Jiafeng is also among the early Chinese artists to connect AI, NFTs, and pop songwriting. His work treats technology less as novelty than as a way to bend voice, emotion, authorship, and everyday digital life into new forms of popular expression. He holds an M.A. in Music Technology from New York University.
